Year 3

In Year 3, all the skills I had acquired throughout my course were used to work towards my dissertation and other modules that had a heavy weighting on my overall grades. The modules studied were strategic management, managing sports events and contemporary issues in management.

Dissertation - Brazil's Attempt at Hosting the World Cup and The Olympics back-to-back,

My dissertation was written on Brazil's double-host attempt in 2014 and 2016. Within this piece of work, I analysed environmental, economical, social and infrastructural event legacies and designed a theoretical framework to measure these aspects of mega-events. The grade I achieved for this work was a 2:1.

Charity Event Evaluation

This project was written post-event after we had delivered the charity event. The project focused on a reflection of my own performance and the events success as a whole, when measured against the pre-event aims and objectives. A social media campaign was also designed for this project, which I designed and ran, the account can be found on Instagram @uodmanagementevents.
